This Is Us

Dubbed "the new Parenthood", NBC's new family microcosm This Is Us brings a whole new plethora of diverse and loveable characters to the small screen.

Its critically-acclaimed first season has just ended and has already received a renewal of two more seasons, with the second set to air in late 2017. The show centres on two different generations and we soon come to learn that despite their differences, this clan of individuals have much more in common than audiences could imagine. The storyline is outstanding in that it is unlike that anything that's been aired before. The rupture of stereotypes and the realism within each family's dynamics are just the beginning of a list of reasons why this NBC crowd pleaser will be something audiences remember for a long time to come. Despite the show having dual timelines that cut in and out during each episode, it's easy to keep track of whose story you're watching. Contrary to other series with confusing flashbacks, audiences will almost be grateful for the flashback sequences that This Is Us elicits as they expand into a larger story. Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls, Heroes) and Mandy Moore (A Walk To Remember, Tangled) are standouts as Jack and Rebecca Pearson. Their chemistry as a couple is unreal and as we watch them begin their family, a whole new meaning of love is

brought into people's homes right from their TV screens. Alongside Ventimiglia and Moore, Sterling K. Brown (Army Wives) and Chrissy Metz (American Horror Story) are two more incredible assets to This Is Us. If you're looking for a show with plenty of heart, good morals and several occasions that'll bring a tear to your eye, This Is Us is all that and more.
